Delete your Nuraya account
Nuraya, the Quran listening app for iOS and Android, works without an account. If you made
one, you can delete it in the app or by writing to us. Here is how, and what it removes.
In the app
- Open Nuraya and go to Library.
- Tap the gear to open Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account, then Continue.
- Enter the six-digit code we email you. Codes last ten minutes.
The account is deleted straight away. Deleting needs a connection; if it doesn’t go
through, nothing is deleted and you can try again.
Without the app
Write to support@nuraya.us
from the email you signed in with, or tell us which email it was, and ask us to delete the
account. We reply to confirm, and delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Delete some data, keep your account
- Remove a bookmark or a Favourite in the app, and it is removed from our servers too.
-
Turn off Help improve Nuraya in Settings to stop crash reports and
anonymous usage.
-
For anything else we hold, such as your listening history or feedback you sent, write to
support@nuraya.us from
the email you signed in with and say what to delete. We delete it within 30 days and keep
the account.
What is deleted
- The account and its email address.
-
Everything synced to it on our servers: bookmarks, Favourites, your listening place and
history, your voices and preferences.
- Your compassionate-access requests and months.
- The subscription records we linked to the account.
What stays
-
On your phone: downloads, your current listening position and your
voices, until you delete the app. The phone is signed out.
-
Purchase records kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, and our record of
store events, as tax and refund rules require. They don’t include your email.
-
Crash reports and anonymous usage, if you allowed them. They aren’t linked
to your account and are deleted as they age. Feedback you sent may include your email: ask
and we’ll delete it too.
Your subscription
Deleting the account doesn’t cancel a subscription, because Apple or Google bills it. Cancel
it first: on iPhone in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, on Android in
Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
